The hockey helmet is an irrefutable part of ice and roller hockey. It protects your head by hugging the bony protrusion at the back of your head. The helmet will efficiently protect you from head injuries if you choose the perfect size for your head.
Aside from protection, an equally important function of the helmet is also known to hockey players. And what would that be? The helmet is also a customizable piece of equipment in which players can show off their unique personas on the rink. After all, hockey is not just brute strength and speed. You can also show your artistic side in this sport.
Unfortunately, a good number of hockey helmets come in standard colors and designs. A dull appearance can definitely be seen when you buy one at the Sports Shop. You can change this dullness by just repainting it! In painting, you get to create your own design and pick out the colors you want. Go for brightcolors to set you away from the pack. Go for warm colors to convey intensity and passion. Make the logos of champion teams embedded on your helmet to give you that champion confidence. The possibilities are endless, you need only create your own design.

I am not totally sure whether I am watching a hockey video game, or an actual televised hockey game, every time I catch a glimpse of footage from PS3 and Xbox NHL 10. Just how great PS3 and Xbox NHL 10 looks, sounds and feels, it is frightening, really. PS3 and Xbox NHL 10 is in an entirely different league, even though we have seen some decent hockey video games throughout the years. PS3 and Xbox NHL 10 is just a superior gaming experience, even when compared to its excellent predecessor.
Maybe it’s because PS3 and Xbox NHL 10 has introduced, among other things, new ways to score. With players able to shoot from their knees and bat pucks out of the air, just for starters, the folks at EA Sports like to boast that these new ways are “spectacular.’ Clearly, PS3 and Xbox NHL 10 is making sure that getting the most for his video game dollar is you, the hardcore gamer. And you will see that you have not been shortchanged in the least, once you sit down and start taking part in PS3 and Xbox NHL 10 tournaments.

Thankfully, this not the case with PS3 and Xbox NHL 10, though hockey video games come and go. Of the video game world, a hockey video game has never so successfully captured the imagination. PS3 and Xbox NHL 10 is really the greatest hockey video game ever made, and both fans agree, and critics agree about that. As PS3 and Xbox NHL 10 has come up with a winning formula, it is hard to disagree with the fans’ and critics’ assessment. Listened to the fans, the creators at EA Sports have done, what fans like or dislike about the previous installment they have figured out, and went from there, and even the most hardened skeptic would give their approval to the changes that have been made. Post-Whistle Action, you now have, where players can now do activities such as finish checks, and pick fights after the referee has blown his whistle. In the previous installment, such a feature did not appear, so it is fantastic that EA Sports has listened carefully to the fans’ wishes to bring in some new elements. PS3 and Xbox NHL 10 has kept aspects that worked, at the same time. Do not fix it if it is not broken, you know what it is that they say. So once again, just like they did for NHL 09, returning are Gary Thorne and Bill Clement to provide commentary for PS3 and Xbox NHL 10. It is no wonder that PS3 and Xbox NHL 10 is taking the video game world by storm, with all of this working for them.

“Good Old Hockey” is the tagline for EA Sports’ NHL 10. And there is no argument with that one. PS3 and Xbox NHL 10 delivers exactly what it promises here, and then some. What really makes PS3 and Xbox NHL 10 such an amazing game is that EA Sports was not content to merely coast on their reputation. Rather, they listened to the video game players and fans out there in order to make PS3 and Xbox NHL 10 a more comprehensive video game experience.
The improved goalie intelligence is yet another facet that will entrance PS3 and Xbox NHL 10 players, veterans and newcomers alike – more proactive, faster and smarter are your goalies, thanks largely to the implementation of new goalie animations. Of that is the material what great gaming is made. By the glossy new surface effects, do not allow yourself to become mesmerized – it is key that you fully comprehend this advice. To conquer the basic skills you will need to do in order to defeat your rival on each occasion.

As a very smooth gamer who specializes in playing NHL 10 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, you’ve probably been dreaming of crushing your opponents each and every game. Of course, you’re also hardcore and there’s nothing better than facing off with rivals in heated sports video game competition. Now it’s time to show your skills to the rest of the video gaming world, as you strive for another notch in the win column when you take to the ice for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 NHL.
In a hockey game, the other team is always going to be voicing their superiority and trying to say you don’t have what it takes. But you’ll show them they’re wrong, of course, by winning game after game online in Xbox and PS3 video game tournaments. Still, it takes a lot to be victorious against the very best of the online gaming world, so you’ll need to learn to fight back. Not literally, of course, but with your Xbox 360 or PS3 gaming controller, to send your rivals home empty.

The Columbus Blue Jackets learned a valuable lesson about NHL hockey on Friday night-it’s dangerous to ’sit on a lead’ and particularly against the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins. Down 3-1, Pittsburgh tied the game late in the third period as Ruslan Fedotenko and Alex Goligoski each lit the lamp with less than three minutes remaining. After a scoreless overtime period, Sidney Crosby scored the only goal of the shootout to give the Penguins an improbable 4-3 victory. It was the 9th win in ten games for Pittsburgh, who are a perfect 6-0-0 on the road. Columbus lost for the fifth time in six games.
NHL hockey betting enthusiasts cashed wagers on the road underdog Penguins, but on the moneyline at +117 and the puckline. Pittsburgh has gotten off to a great start this year, going 11-2-0 in the first month of the season. Columbus is struggling to stay above .500 at 6-5-1. The 7 combined goals scored went OVER the posted total of 5′. The Blue Jackets have gone OVER in 7 of 12 games this season.
Crosby’s game winning score in overtime wasn’t exactly the stuff of highlight reels, with the puck barely trickling over the line:

Though his scoring records have been obliterated by Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux, former Boston Bruins/New York Rangers center Phil Esposito is still regarded by hockey cognoscenti as one of the greatest offensive players in the history of the game. He is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, as is his brother Tony Esposito who was a standout goaltender for the Chicago Blackhawks.
Esposito was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and his prodigious hockey talent quickly became apparent. He was signed by the Chicago Blackhawks as a teenager, and made his NHL debut in’64 quickly earning a spot on the teams top line between Bobby Hull and Marcel Dionne. In’67, Esposito was traded to the Boston Bruins along with Ken Hodge and Fred Stanfield. Within a few years Hodge and Stanfield blossomed into All Stars, while Esposito quickly took his place alongside his former teammate Hull as the best scorer in the league. Suffice to say that Boston fans were of the opinion that theyd gotten the best of the deal.

Adjusted summary of articles by David Madden and Susan Rivera
So you’re into hockey. Better players enjoy the game more. Attend a hockey camp. Intense training, professional coaching and lots of drills vastly improve not just your shooting skills but your overall game. While hockey camps give you the chance to improve your shooting skills and hit more hockey goals over a few short weeks, a coach does more than help you polish your game; they’re often your mentor.

There’s no substitute to hard work. What makes a good hockey player a great athlete is not discipline; it’s practiced discipline.

hockey goal
Much like any endeavor, it’s always best to approach hockey with a goal. Hockey or any sport for that matter, works similarly. Set your goals high and work on it one hockey goal at a time. If you want to reach your hockey goals, doing some off-ice training during the summer is an absolute necessity.
